iSabel Health Tech today welcomed professional hockey coach and entrepreneur, Sjoerd Marijne, as its first global brand ambassador and strategic partner.

iSabel is a tech-led health care startup that addresses employee well-being in a holistic, scalable and measurable way. It covers mental, social, physical and financial well-being. It currently supports enterprises as well as social impact organizations in Singapore and India. iSabel offers users a safe space to learn, connect, share as well as interact with experts and have open conversations about well-being with peers.

Through this partnership, Marijne will collaborate with iSabel to accelerate the company’s growth in the organizational well-being category initially in key markets in Asia, including India.

As the former Chief Coach of the Indian Women's Hockey Team, Marijne created a high-performance culture that combined both team and individual physical endurance and mental resilience. His approach helped the team to stay focus despite numerous setbacks. Within four years, he guided them to secure a historic semifinal spot at the 2021 Olympic Games. This catapulted him and the Indian women hockey national team to new heights and won over millions of hearts across India. He was also recently named Coach of the Year 2020-2021 by the International Hockey Federation.

“As a coach, I am always focused on the personal growth of my players because if every individual plays to their full potential, the chance of winning is higher. I believe personal growth is linked to personal well-being and that’s exactly what iSabel champions,” said Marijne.

“iSabel’s holistic approach very much aligns with mine but what makes it so unique is that it addresses not only mental, physical but also social and financial well-being. I was impressed by their bold mission and know it made sense for me to take an active partnership role in a company that has the ability to transform the organizational well-being market.”

To kick off the association, iSabel hosted a fireside chat on 12 November 2021 with Marijne to discuss two very current & relevant topics - building a winning mindset and mental resilience. This event was held exclusively for iSabel’s corporate community.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Sjoerd to the iSabel team, both as a partner and collaborator, “ said Meilin Wong, CEO and Co-Founder of iSabel. “The fact that he believes so strongly in our company and mission is a huge validation that our solution has wide application and relevance, that it’s not just for corporate employees but also for those in other industries such as Sports.”

“We’ve heard so much about mental health, in both the workplace and in the sports world, with athletes like Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles sparking a lot of conversations across the globe. With Sjoerd’s background in professional sports and our deep insights in workplace well-being, we’llbe able to strengthen our holistic offering to our clients, both on and off the field.”
